On  April 6, 2015,  IPB team that consisted of  Rector, Prof. Herry Suhardiyanto, Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Yonny Koesmaryono, Director of  Collaboration and  International Programs (KSPI), Dr. Edy Hartulistyoso dan Head Plant Physiology and Genetics Division, Department of Biology, Prof. Dr. Ir. Suharsono DEA had visited Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi. IPB team met Gowa Regent, Chairman dan Vice Chairman of Legislature (DPRD) of  Gowa, dan District Goverment Unit (SKPD) Gowa, that consisted of several  Head  of Its Units.  This Visitation aims to collaborating in education and agriculture research and development, especially for potato comodity. In this opportunity, 150 Senior High School (SMA) best students in Gowa Regency took a written examination for regional representative scholarships (BUD) programs. In the afternoon until night,  Prof. Suharsono and Dr. Edy Hartulistyoso that was accompanied by Head of Gowa Department of Agriculture and one of Gowa DPRD Head Division, visited potato garden and discussed  with its farmers in Tinggi Moncong Sub-District. In this sub-district, 1500 ha land area that would be dedicated  for potato agriculture. IPB dan Gowa Goverment planned to collaborated releasing minimal one potato cultivar which is suitable to be planted in Gowa. While doing multiplication of seeds, multilocation test and varieties truth test and preparation of documents for releasing those varieties that will takes a long time, IPB will provide Go, potato seed which wiil be propagated to G1, G2, G3 and G4 in Gowa Regency.
