Second Phase of CRC EFFoRTs 2016-2019 Meeting

Dr. Ir. Rika Raffiudin M.Si., entomologist in Dept of Biology met  Dr. Siria Biagionia Postdoc ftom Department of Palynology and Climate Dynamics, University of Goettingen on Friday August 12, 2016 at Dept. of Biology IPB.

Dr. Siria visit on behalf of Prof. Dr. Hermann Behling, the Head of Palynology Lab to discuss several agenda with Dr. Rika as her counterpart in A01 group in the continuing of second phase of CRC EFFoRTs 2016-2019 between IPB, Goettingen Univ, Univ of Jambi and Tadulako Univ. Their collaboration will be in the topic of bee polen identification  and pollen in honey of the giant honey bee Apis dorsata as the standard requirement of honey in market. 

During meeting, Dr. Siria also kindly discussed and did some corrections to Yuan Natalia BIO 49 (Dr. Rika's student) several pollen identification from honey bee Apis mellifera hind leg and pollen from the bee nest from apiary in Boyolali Central Java which is her BSc thesis data. Dr. Siria also discussed with Rosi Fitri Ramadani (Dr. Rika's Master student) for Rosi's manuscript  in the topic of pollen from stingless bee Trigona in Jambi. Siria and Prof Behling will be the  co-authors of the manuscript as well.

The last agenda of this collaborative meeting was a fruitful discussion with Dr. Nina Ratna Djuita S.Si. M.Si., staff member from Plant Taxonomy Laboratory, Dept. of Biology IPB. They discussed a possibility for Dr. Nina to join 1-2 months pollen workshop in Prof Behling Palynology lab in 2017. She will prepare an application of staff exchange grant in Goettingen University  through ALFABET grant that both IPB and Goettingen Univ are listed in the University partnership.
