On January 17, 2018, the education staff of Department of Biology FMIPA IPB joined in an event named education staff gathering in Melrimba Garden, Puncak, Bogor. The event aims to provide a place and time to gather all of the education staff in a fun and relaxing activity as well as to get some knowledge of ornamental plants. 

The staff has a fun activity such as games, garden visit, archery class, ornamental plant workshop continued to florist visit and other relaxing activity.  In the workshop, Ir. Ida Widaningsih acted as speaker and guide. She explained various types of ornamental plants and how to grow it. In addition to that, she made the staff be informed the business opportunity in ornamental plant industry.

At the end of workshop day, she guides the staffs to visit PT. Bina Usaha Flora greenhouses and did some practices in plant cultivation. "This workshop will be useful for staff to enhance their knowledge in plant cultivation, especially the ornamental plant. The knowledge will be used to starting a plant business in their retirement periods or for growing the plant in their homes", Yuni Maharani, head of education staff said.
