One of the biggest biology competition event for high school students in Indonesia “Lomba Cepat Tepat Biologi” (LCTB) was held in Bogor Agricultural University at Grha Widya Wisuda on Saturday, Nov 14^th  2015. LCTB, event collaboration betweet BEM G and Himabio and a part of the “Pesta Sains Nasional”, was started at 08.30 until 16.00 WIB. 

LCTB tried to accommodate high school students to excersice their way of analysing and solving problems related biology and also increasing their interest and passion towards biology and its application. Topic of this year’s LCTB was ‘Empowering Local Wisdom’. Not only the competition itself, LCTB also held a maker stand that exhibited achievements of Department of  Biology, and participants could freely ask anything about biology. Participants came from all over Indonesia including Medan, Manado, Padang, and many more. Day-first of the event was well-held, very festive and lively. Participants are enthusiastic and abundant. Total participants for LCTB competition was the most from total participant of PSN competition (about 700/3000 participants). Semifinal and final will be held on the next day of LCTB competition for the lucky 15 runner-up teams. Additionally there will be 20 other teams chosen to take a closer look at biology.

The next day of LCTB competition, November 15^th 2015, was a big day for 15 qualified teams to fight on the next step of the competition that is semifinal. After the opening ceremony at Common Class Room Building, Bogor Agricultural University, 15 semi-finalist teams competed for the finals that consist of two rounds: knock quiz and lab work test at Teaching Lab Bogor Agricultural University, while 20 other chosen teams attended a seminar about Department of Biology of Bogor Agricultural University with Mafrikhul Muttaqin M.Si. as the speaker and continued with a tour lab. The knock quiz round lasted for about 10 minutes and the lab work test lasted for an hour. The knock quiz round required participants to answer questions available within seconds. The lab work test required participants to answer questions about specimens provided. Both sessions was conducted fairly by the semi-finalists. Meanwhile the lab tour attended enthusiastically by the 20 chosen teams. Before lunch, both semi-finalists and the 20 chosen teams attended a seminar from lecturer Dr. Puji Rianti S.Si. M.Si. that discussed about the topic empowering local wisdom. The final round consist of four sessions which 5 finalists team competed to be the champion. The final round was spectated by the entire participants excitedly. The final round ended with:

1^st place winner: Ryza R, Hasna A, and M. Edgar B from SMA Pribadi BBS Bandung.

2^nd place winner: Raden Hilman, Manarul I, and Samantha A from SMAN Unggulan MH Thamrin.

3^rd place winner: Abdulloh Kaffa, Salsabiilaa R, and Syailendra K from SMA Semesta.
