BioFuture: Production and Service Unit is a business unit of the Department of Biology that was established in 2003. BioFuture established in order to participate in improvement of the quality and quantity of agricultural production, industry, and plantation, as well as its role in the development of agribusiness in the structure of the national economy. BioFuture was developed as an implementation of the university research result that could be utilized by a particular community or among the needs.

VISION

Making the results of biological research beneficial for human life and for the improvement of national welfare and competitiveness

PURPOSE

1. Produce and sell a biology-related product, such as bio fertilizer, probiotics, fungi, aloes, also seeds and seedlings (ornamental, fruit, and forest plants)
2. Make improvement in plant quality through tissue culture as well as its propagation
3. Provide consultation, workshops, in-house training and job training for students, alumni and the community in the field of biology related product, plant tissue culture, and mushrooms cultivation
4. Being specialist in the biology of  Jatropha
5. Build collaboration and create networking between IPB and the community, local government, private sector and industry

1. Plant tissue culture product, such as Chrysanthemum, Orchid, Jatropha and Pineapple
2. Fungal inoculants for induction of agarwood formation
3. Organic and biological fertilizer
