Profile 

It consists of 9 lecturers who all have doctorates with different skills. Five lecturers have the professorship. In the last 5 years, the Microbiology Division has 2 patents, 12 Indonesian innovation acknowledgments (by Business Innovation Center / Kemenristekdikti), and scientific publications published in both accredited international and national journals.

Division Mandate

Develop microbiological science through education, research and community service activities and human resource management related to microbiology science.

Division Scope

Organizing the development of microbiological science through various subjects for the student, community service, and studying bacteria from it basic research to application. 

Research Focus

Characterization and utilization of microbial enzymes; development of microbial bioprospection; pro and prebiotics; evaluation of Indonesia's diversity, metagenome and microbial ecology
