Scientific Writing Training for Trainer by Staff of Adelaide University

Starting from September 30th until October 4th, 2014 at IPB International Convention Center, Department of Biology held Scientific Writing Training for its Lecturers and others in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. This training involves 21 Lecturers from Department of Biology, 1 Lecturer from Department of Mathematics, 1 Lecturer from Department of Computer Science, and 1 Lecturer from Department of Geophysics and Meteorology. The goals of the training are: to prepare our Lecturer to became trainer of the similar scientific writing training; to increase the knowledge of scientific writing so that Lecturer can guide students better during their writing; and to increase international publication of the Department.
Secretary of the Faculty, Dr. Sulistiyani, opened the training. The trainers are Dr. Margaret Cargill and Dr. Patrick O'Connor from Adelaide University. They are Authors of the famous "Writing Scientific Research Article" book published by Wiley-Blackwell. The training run interactively and include many discussion sessions. All participants have a chance to interact with both trainers at all time, because they are very energetic and helpful.
