Dr. Iman Rusmana M.Si participated the Assessors Training Workshop for AUN-QA

Last year, based on AUN-QA assessment, Study Program in Biology has been fulfilled ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) requirement. A year later, Dr. Iman Rusmana M.Si, former head of the Department of Biology, visit Vietnam to participate the Assessors Training Workshop for AUN-QA Programme Assessment (Tier II). He was able to attend this second tier of the workshop as he completed the first tier before.
In the event held on 6 - 12 December 2018, he and other participants experienced real assessment experiences by incorporating both classroom simulation at Hotel Nikko Saigon and real-time observation of AUN-QA Programme Assessment at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education. The participants learned some competences of AUN-QA assessor: overview, quality assurance of higher education in the key ASEAN member states, and ethics & cultural sensitivity. Moreover, some exercises related to desktop assessment also conducted by the participants.
The event was mainly guided by Mr. Johnson Ong Chee Bin, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tan Kay Chuan, and Prof. Dr. Arnulfo Azcarraga. They are AUN-QA experts. Additionally, Mr. Bin is the founder of Living Better and Education Quality International and Prof. Chuan is a director of the Office of Quality Management, National University of Singapore. Meanwhile, Prof. Azcarraga is a professor of Computer Science at DLSU-Manila.
