CONGRATULATION! Hayati Journal of Biosciences will be hosted in Science Direct Elsevier

HAYATI Journal of Biosciences (HAYATI J Biosci) has made a historical step on Saturday, 29th April 2015. On this date, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) through the Directorate of Research and Innovation (DITRI) of IPB signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Elsevier, an academic publishing company that publishes medical and scientific literature based in Amsterdam Netherlands. This means that HAYATI J Biosci passed high Elsevier standard to be included in a leading full-text scientific database ScienceDirect. The agreement was signed in the Building of Andi Hakim Nasoetion Dramaga Campus Bogor by the Vice Rector for Research and Cooperation of IPB, Prof. Dr Anas Miftah Fauzi with Limkok Keng, as director of Elsevier Asia-Pacific region.
Prof. Anas Miftah Fauzi expressed his appreciation to Elsevier which provides the opportunity for IPB to promote the best journals through Elsevier. Prof. Anas added, to increase international research publications of IPB, IPB has done a a number of ways, such as publication training of "Not only the national scale, but also international one," he added. Director of RI-IPB, Prof. Dr Iskandar Z. Siregar added, IPB's publication of scientific articles each year increases steadily such as those published by the Scopus Journal. Last year there were about 300 journals and will continue to increase in coming years, he said.
Chief editor of HAYATI J Biosci, Dr. Berry Juliandi M.Si. said that it is a honor to bring HAYATI J Biosci as the first and the only Indonesian journal that can passed high standard of Elsevier's inclusion criteria to be included in Science Direct. According to him, it has been a long journey and he would like to thank Rector of IPB and other IPB officials, past and current members of HAYATI J Biosci Editorial Boards, and all parties who helped HAYATI J Biosci to reach this milestone.
At the same place, Dr. Ir. Rika Raffiudin M.Si., Editor of HAYATI Journal of Biosciences of IPB welcomed the steps with Elsevier's cooperation. According to her, in addition to increasing the international publication of IPB, this also can make it easier for researchers to publish research results in international journals.
