Department of Biology IPB is preparing to update its ISO 9001:2008 version to ISO 9001:2015 version by opening the kick off meeting for socialization of ISO 9001:2015. Since March 17, 2016, Department of Biology and three other departments of FMIPA IPB have got certificate SNI ISO 9001:2008 from Sucofindo (QSC 01307). The certificate showed that those Departments have implemented the standard that sets out the requirements for a quality management system. Dr. Dra. Triadiati M.Si., which is responsible for ISO activity in Department of Biology, invited approximately forty lecturers and four administration staffs to join the meeting. The meeting was conducted at meeting room of Department of Biology in August 11, 2016 from 1 pm until 3 pm. In the meeting, Ir. Hasan Asyari, M.Si as ISO consultant delivered his presentation about the different ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 9001:2015 to thirty lectures and four administration staff. He explained that the major differences are its new structure and the focus on risk-based thinking. After the presentation, there were discussion session between audiences and presenter in order to clarify ISO 9001:2015. It is the first meeting for preparing ISO 9001:2015 and there will be other ISO activity to organize preparation.
