Prof. Ir. Ofyar Z. Tamin, M.Sc (Eng)., Ph.D., rector of Institut Teknologi Sumatera (ITERA), and his team were visiting the Department of Biology (27/08). Aside of the rector, the team was consists of Prof. Sukrasno, M.S (Vice Rector), Prof. Dr. L. Hari Wiryanto, M.S. (Head of Science Major), Ramadhani Eka Putra, Ph.D. (Head of Biology Study Program), and other lecturers. After acquaintance session, the visitors were discussed with the department official about study program management, collaboration, and research opportunity. 

"After MoU IPB and ITERA signing, the visit to the Department of Biology, especially in research and education, is part of our effort to establish cooperation for our mutual progress," Ramadhani said as the head of ITERA Biology Study Program opened the discussion. After discussion, the visitors were visited the department facility include the research laboratories, IPB Culture Collection, and classroom. 

The discussion will be followed up by arranging a collaboration framework between the Department and ITERA Biology Study Program.
