Belitung Regent, H. Sahani Saleh, S. Sos officially opened the MCSTO IPB ForMIND 2019 international meeting (Monday, 28 October 2019) at the Grand Hatika Hotel, Belitung. "Belitung Regency is a potential area with high biodiversity of flora and fauna, as well as a unique geological character, which has the potential as a tourist attraction. Through collaboration with severals government institutions including the Ministry of Tourism, and IPB University, it can be a strategic step to explore and manage natural resources towards sustainable tourism, "said the Regent of Belitung, in his speech.

This activity is an activity that is routinely held annually by the Indonesian Young Scientists Forum (ForMIND), which is promoted by Dr. Berry Juliandi, Lecturer from the Division of Physiology and Animal Behavior Dept. Biology IPB, who is also a member of ForMIND. The event was also attended by the Director of Publication and Strategic Information of IPB (Dr. Eva Anggraini), Head of the Department of Biology - Dr. Miftahudin, Head of the Belitong Geopark Management Agency-Dyah Erowati, Director of the Indonesia Doctoral Training Partnership-Bagus P Moeljadi Ph.D, and participated by student from 7 countries such as Western Sydney University-Australia, Kasetsart University-Thailand, Nottingham University-UK, Universiti Putra Malaya-Malaysia, Osaka University-Japan, and IPB University, they are participated both as oral presenters, and as poster presenters.
