Lecturers From Dept. Biology Teached Microbiology Applications for Agriculture and Fisheries

As one of the community service programs from Division of Microbiology, Dept.Biology, IPB, Dr. Nisa Rachmania shared her knowledge and experience regarding the application of microbiology in agriculture and fisheries to the Ciapus community on Thursday, December 15 2022, at the Darsa HD farm, Ciapus, Bogor. On this occasion, Dr. Nisa taught about the use of organic domestic waste as a source of organic fertilizer and the practice of making ecoenzymes, a liquid fertilizer.
Besides Dr. Nisa, another IPB lecturer also gave the lecture, namely Dr. Mia Setiawati (Lecturer from Department of Aquaculture, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, IPB). On this occasion Dr. Mia teaches several alternative feeds for fish farming. At the same event, Apip Heryanto, AMD, also shared his experience in catfish farming. This workshop was attended by 33 people coming from Bogor, Ciseeng and Bekasi. by organizing this workshop, the community is expected to have a better understanding of how to process domestic waste and how to cultivate fish.
