28-29 May 2015, three professors and two graduate students from Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Bogor Agricultural University, has participated in the 7^th International Kasetsart University Science and Technology Annual Research Symposium (IKUSTARS). They has participated in symposium by giving oral presentations. Their presentation topics were “Physiological and molecular responses of transgenic tobacco overexpressing aluminum tolerance gene candidate to aluminum stress” (by Dr. Ir. Miftahudin M.Si.), “The evaluation of the genetic diversity of Pulasan (Nephelium ramboutan-ake (Labill.) Leenh) in Java Island, Indonesia based on microsatellite markers” (Dr. Ir. Tatik Chikmawati M.Si.), “Genetic transformation of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) cultivars Agria by using Hd3a gene” (Prof. Dr. Ir. Suharsono DEA), “Optimizing sudoku x using artificial bee colony algorithm” (Nada F. Pearl) and “Diversity and foraging behavior of stingless bee Trigona in two types of land use” (Rosi Fitri Ramadani). The symposium was attended by 400 participants came from six countries, namely: Indonesia, Thailand, India, Japan, Philippines, and Vietnam. After symposium, the participants visited Ayuthayya, an old town that was an ancient Thailand capital.
